Good Morning everybody!!

The honorable ones the principle of SMPN 4 MEDAN , all teachers and administration staffs of SMPN 4 MEDAN and all 
Beloved my friends 

Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you all to thank Good the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place. And also let’s deliver to Our God, Who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right path. 


Beloved friend

Indonesian is a great country. It has so many natural resources that can be used. It has so many beautiful palaces that can mesmerize people. It is so beautiful to live here peacefully with different cultures, languages, and religions. However, why are there still many people who live under poverty in this country? The only answer to this question is because our human resources are still low in the term of education.


If you have ever heard about the news about our international education rank, you would be surprised. As quoted form Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report  2011 which is published by UNESCO and launched in New York on Sunday, 1/3/2011,  our international education rank is at 69th place from 129 surveyed countries all over the world. This rank is lower than in 2010.


It opens a question that runs in my head, what happen with our education? Indonesia is a great country with many talented young generations. It was undoubted again that there are so many Indonesian students who win the international education Olympiads such as mathematics, chemical, physics and other. But why our international education rank is still low. So what happen with with our education?

There must be a reason why our human resources and our global rank in education are still low. One of the reasons is that our education is expensive. For middle up to high class people the cost of our education is nothing. But for those who live in lower economic class, the cost of our education is beyond their reach. Many of them even abandon their duty to go to school just because they have to work to fulfill their needs.


Our government has made a policy recently to overcome the problem in our education. The policy is increasing national educational budget up to 20% from APBN. This budget later on is used to make education is reachable for low economic level society; to improve teachers’ quality with a program which well known as “sertifikasi”; and to provide school facilities such as library, classroom, laboratory, and sport hall.

We hope the policy that the government made will make our educational quality better. Of course as a student, we don’t just sit down and relax without doing something. Good or bad the quality of education of our country also depend us. If we want to change our bad educational paradigm, let’s begin with improving our achievement with studying hard for the sake of our education.


I hope this speech that I deliver today will be useful for you all. Thank you so much for your attention. The last I say:

Yang terhormat kepala sekolah SMPN 4 MEDAN, semua guru dan staf,juga teman teman yang saya cintai


Sebelum saya menyampaikan sebuah pidato, saya ingin mengajak kalian untuk bersyukur kehadiarat Tuhan yang maha kuasa, yang telah memberi kita rahmat dan hidayah, sehingga kita bisa bertemu bersama di tempat yang di berkati ini. Dan juga mari kita panjatkan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, yang telah membawa kita dari kegelapan ke ke jaman terang benerang, sehingga kita selalu berada di jalan yang benar.


Teman teman yang saya cintai

Indonesia adalah Negara yang besar. Negara yang memiliki banyak sekali sumber daya alam yang bisa dimanfaatkan. Negara yang memiliki banyak temat-tempat indah yang dapat menghipnotis orang. Sungguh indah bisa hidup di sini dengan damai dengan berbagai budaya, bahasa, dan agama yang berbeda. Tetapi, mengapa masih banyak terdapat orang yang hidup dibawah garis kemiskinan di Negara ini? Hanya ada satu jawaban untuk pertanyaan ini yaitu karena sumber daya manusia kita masih sangat redah dalam hal pendidikan.


Jika anda sekalian pernah mendengar tentang berita tentang peringkat internasional pendidikan kita, anda akan terkejut. Seperti di kutip dari Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report 2011 yang di keluarkan oleh UNESCO dan di luncurkan di New York pada hari Senin, 1/3/2011, peringkat pendidikan internasional kita berada pada tempat ke 69 dari 129 negara yang di survey di seluruh dunia. Peringkat ini lebih rendah dari pada di tahun 2010.


Ini membuka sebuah pertanyaan yang berlarian di kepala saya, ada apa dengan pendidikan kita? Indonesia adalah negara hebat dengan banyak generasi muda bertalenta. Tidak diragukan lagi bahwa terdapat banyak siswa Indonesia yang memenangkan olimpiade-olimpiade pendidikan internasional seperti matematik, kima, fisika dan lainnya. Tetapi mengapa peringkat internasional pendidikan kita masih rendah. Jadi ada apa dengan pendidikan kita
Teman teman yang saya cintai
Mesti ada suatu alasan mengapa sumber daya manusia kita dan peringkat dunia kita dalam hal pendidikan masih rendah. Salah satu alasannya adalah pendidikan kita itu mahal. Untuk kelas ekonomi menengah ke atas biaya pendidikan kita saat ini mungkin buka apa-apa. Tetapi untuk mereka yang hidup di kelas eknomi kebawah, biaya pendidikan kita saat ini diluar jangkauan mereka. Banyak dari mereka bahkan mengabaikan kewajiban mereka untuk pergi ke sekolah hanya karena mereka harus bekerja untuk memenuhi kebutuhan merka.


Pemerintahan kita telah membuat sebuah kebijakan baru-baru ini untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pendidikan kita. Kebijakan tersebut adalah peningkatan anggaran pendidikan nasional mencapai 20% dari APBN. Anggaran ini nantinya digunakan untuk membuat pendidikan kita terjangkau oleh kalangan masyarakat ekonomi kebawah; untuk meningkatkan kulitas guru-guru pengajar dengan program yang dikenal sebagai “sertifikasi”; dan untuk menyediakan fasilitas-fasilitas sekolah seperti perpustakaan, ruangan kelas, laboratorium, dan gedung olah raga.

Kita berharap kebijakan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah akan membuat mutu pendidikan kita lebih baik. Tentunya sebagai seorang pelajar, kita tidak boleh hanya duduk diam dan santai tanpa melakukan apa-apa. Baik atau buruknya kualitias pendidikan Negara kita juga bergantung pada kita. Jika kita ingin mengubah paradigm buruk pendidikan kita, mari kita mulai dengan meningkatkan prestasi kita dengan belajar dengan keras untuk kebaikan pendidikan kita.


Saya harap pidato yang saya sampaikan hari ini bisa bermanfaat untuk kalian semua. Terima kasih untuk perhatiannya.

Berikut ini adalah penjelasan mengenai text procedure beserta contohnya ya guys :)
  1.  a procedure tells how to do or make something
   2.  A procedure usually consist of three main parts
  ● Aim/Goals
    This parts tell what will be made or done
  ● Materials/Ingredients (optional)
    This parts gives a list of what is needed
  ● Step
    This parts explains how to do it
   3. A recipe and manual are example of procedure
   4. An example of a procedure Aim/Goal - tells what will be done

Contoh Kalimat Procedure:

How to charge the battery of your cell phone
   Step - explain what was to be done chronologically
 1. Connect the charger to a socket
 2. Connect the charger to the phone.Thr battery indikator
      bar starts scrolling.If not charging is displayed,wait for a while,disconnect the charger,plug it in again and retry.If charging still fails,contact your dealer
 3.  When the baterry is fully charged,the bar stops scrolling.Disconnect procedure
 from the phone and the socket.


    5.  Short and clear instruction are necessary in a procedure
    6.  Simple present tense,imperative (action verb) and prepotion of time are mostly used in a procedure

Pengertian Procedure text Dalam Bahasa Inggris : Definisi, Tujuan, Jenis, Generic Structure dan Contoh – Apakah ada yang dari kalian yang pernah membuat makanan dari resep yang anda baca? Anda membaca resep dan mempraktekan step demi step cara membuatnya. Bahan dan langkah-langkah pembuatannya disajikan dalam resep tersebut. Ya, resep yang anda baca merupakan contoh procedure text atau bisa disebut procedural text. Pada kali ini KBI akan memberikan penjelasan tentang definisi, tujuan, jenis, generic structure dan contoh procedure text.

Definisi Procedure Text

“Procedure text is a piece of text that give us instructions for doing something.”
Procedure text adalah sebuah teks yang memberikan kita perintah atau instruksi untuk melakukan sesuatu.
“Procedure text  is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps.”
Procedure text adalah teks yang dirancang untuk menggambarkan bagaimana sesuatu dicapai melalui urutan tindakan atau langkah-langkah.
Jadi dapat disimpulkan disini, procedure text adalah jenis text yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan suatu perintah atau instruksi tentang bagaimana sesuatu dicapai sesuai urutan atau langkah-langkah yang benar.
Dan biasanya judul procedure textdiawali dengan “How to ….“. Contohnya misalnya seperti “How to make a cup of tea” (Cara membuat secangkir tea), “How to Use the Computer” (Cara menggunakan komputer), dan masih banyak lagi contoh lainnya.
Beberapa ciri prosedure text adalah:
⦁    mengunakan Simple Present Tense (S+V1)
⦁    berbentuk imperative/bentuk perintah,
⦁    menggunakan action verbs, contoh:make, take, boil, cook,
⦁    menggunakan temporal conjunctions, contoh: First, then, next, after that, last
Tujuan Procedure Text
Procedure text sendiri dibuat mempunyai tujuan tertentu untuk pembaca. Tujuan teks sendiri bersifat komunikatif.
“The social purpose of procedure text is to show how something is done through sequence of steps which enable the reader to achieve the goal.”
Tujuan sosial procedure text adalah untuk menunjukkan bagaimana sesuatu dilakukan melalui urutan langkah yang memungkinkan pembaca untuk mencapai tujuan.
“The purpose of procedure text is to tell the reader how to do or make something through a sequence of actions or steps.”
Tujuan dari teks prosedur adalah untuk memberitahu pembaca bagaimana melakukan atau membuat sesuatu melalui urutan tindakan atau langkah-langkah .

Jenis-jenis Procedure Text

Procedure text dalam bahasa inggris mempunyai beberapa jenis. Berikut ini ada 3 jenis procedure text yang harus Anda ketahui.
⦁ Procedure text yang menjelaskan bagaimana sesuatu bekerja atau bagaimana menggunakan instruksi/operasi manual , misalnya , how to use computer, how to record video. how to use plaroid camera.
⦁ Procedure text yang menginstruksikan bagaimana melakukan aktivitas tertentu, misalnya, how to make a noodle, how to dance, how to play basketball.
⦁ Procedure text yang berhubungan dengan perilaku manusia, misalnya, how to succeed, how to live happily, how to be a good person.

Generic Stucture of Procedure Text

Procedure text memiliki skema susunan umum atau generic structure. Berikut ini generic stucture of procedure text:
⦁ Goal: memberikan informasi tentang maksud dan tujuan prosedur dan memprediksi suatu kesimpulan.
⦁ Materials: berisi daftar materi atau bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan suatu prosedur atau langkah-langkah.
⦁ Steps: daftar urutan instruksi/aktivitas untuk mencapai tujuan dalam urutan langkah yang benar.
⦁ Result: Hasil dari serangkaian langkah-langkah yang telah dilakukan.

. HOW TO MAKE PANCAKE

INGREDIENTS :
·    - 3 – 4 spoonful of flour
·    - 2 eggs
·    - 1 ½ (250 ml) of milk
·    - 1 stick of butter
    MATERIALS :
·    - 1 mixing bowl
·    - 2 table spoons
·    - 2 cups
·    - 1 small pan
PROCEDURE :
1. Put the flour in the bowl. 
2. Put milk in a cup. 
3. Make sure it's 250 ml of milk. 
4. Put the milk in the bowl. 
5. Break the 2 eggs into the bowl. 
6. Mix it with a spoon. 
7. Heat up the pan and put the butter 
8. Put the mix in the pan. 
9. Let the pancake mix cook about 5 minutes
10. Flip pancake over when the top is brown. 
11. Your pancake its ready to be serve

 HOW TO MAKE A KITE


MATERIALS :
- 3 pieces of cane
- Thread
- Large sheet of strong paper (e.g. tissue)
- Soft pencil
- Scissors
- Paint and paintbrush
- Glue
- Strong string

PROCEDURE :
The Frame
- Dampen the cane to make flexible
- Carefully, bend the cane to desired shape then tie securely with thread

The Covering
-  Lay the frame on sheet of paper
- Trace around frame with pencil
- Cut covering approximately 1 cm larger than the outline
- Paint bird on covering (e.g. bowl)
- When paint is dry, place the frame on unpainted side.
- Now, fold edges of covering over the frame carefully, and glue them down.

The Bridle
- Cut 3 pieces of string, each 20 cm long.
- Secure one end of each string tightly to frame at the shoulders and tail of the bird.
- Then, tie the other ends in a knot.

Teks Cerita Pinokio dalam Bahasa Inggris

The Real Story of Pinocchio
Once upon a time, Gepetto, an old woodsman, living in the great Italian pine forest, was lonely. He always dreamed about having a son.
Each day, he went cutting woods for the town’s people. One day, an idea illuminated his mind, the idea of crafting a puppet, which he will call it Pinocchio. He crafted that puppet and during the night, the puppet becomes alive!
One year of happiness and thriller passed, on a Sunday morning, Gepetto told Pinocchio:
‘’It’s my birthday soon, my little son! I hope you didn’t forget it!’’
‘’Euh, sure, I didn’t!’’
Pinocchio felt awkward. He didn’t thought about that. Gepetto’s birthday was coming in only three days, and he hadn’t even a present.
After a long night of reflecting, Pinocchio finally decided to offer a homemade chocolate cake to him as a present.
When the sun rose, Pinocchio was already ready to go outside find the ingredients. The main problem was he didn’t even known the in and the recipe.
So after school, he decided to go ask someone for the ingredients to bake a cake. During his walk, Pinocchio, the wooden puppet, met the town’s sorcerer.
‘’Hey, little boy, do you need some help for your chocolate cake?’’
‘’Hum…You can help me?’’, asked Pinocchio.
‘’Sure, I can. Follow me!’’
After walking few minutes so, Pinocchio saw a big, big, big candy house. They entered together and Pinocchio got caught by a big cage.
‘’Mouahahaha!!! I finally caught you! You’ll be mine, you’re gonna work for me!’’, said the evil sorcerer.
Pinocchio was so scared. When the guards came and took him out of the cage, he immediately ran away very fast and he succeeded to escape.
At the same time, the evil sorcerer, calling all his troops with him, ran after him and he took out his magic wand. The evil devil changed the little wooden puppet into a chocolate cake!
When he came back home, he told the entire story to his father and they went to find the god fairy.
After a long trip, they finally find the god fairy and they got the magical potion for Pinocchio.

Terjemahan Cerita Pinokio dalam Bahasa Inggris

Sekali waktu, Gepetto, seorang penebang kayu tua, yang tinggal di hutan pinus besar Italia, merasa kesepian. Dia selalu bermimpi tentang memiliki anak.
Setiap hari, ia pergi memotong kayu untuk orang-orang kota. Suatu hari, ide muncul di pikirannya, ide membuat boneka kayu, yang ia akan menyebutnya Pinokio. Ia telah membuat boneka itu dan pada malam hari, boneka tersebut hidup!
Satu tahun kebahagiaan dan film thriller berlalu, pada hari Minggu pagi, Gepetto mengatakan Pinokio:
” Ini hari ulang tahunku, anak kecilku! Aku harap kamu tidak lupa!”
” ya, tentu, aku tidak akan melupakan!”
Pinocchio merasa canggung. Dia tidak memikirkan hal itu. ulang tahun Gepetto atang hanya tiga hari, dan dia bahkan tidak mempersiapkan hadiah.
Setelah sepanjang malam berpikir, Pinokio akhirnya memutuskan untuk menawarkan kue coklat buatan sendiri kepadanya sebagai hadiah.
Ketika matahari terbit, Pinokio sudah siap untuk pergi ke luar mencari bahan-bahan. Masalah terbesarnya ia bahkan tidak tahu bagaimana membuatnya dan resepnya.
Jadi sepulang sekolah, ia memutuskan untuk pergi bertanya kepada seseorang tentang bahan untuk memanggang kue. Selama berjalan-jalan, Pinokio, boneka kayu, bertemu dukun kota.
” Hei, anak kecil, apakah Anda membutuhkan bantuan untuk kue cokelat Anda?”
” Hum … Anda dapat membantuku?”, Tanya Pinocchio.
” Tentu, aku bisa. Ikuti aku!”
Setelah berjalan beberapa menit sehingga, Pinokio melihat rumah permen yang sangaaaaat besar. Mereka masuk bersama-sama dan Pinokio tertangkap oleh kandang besar.
” Mouahahaha! Aku akhirnya menangkapmu! kamu akan menjadi milikku, kau akan bekerja untukku!”, Kata penyihir jahat.
Pinocchio sangat ketakutan. Ketika penjaga datang dan membawanya keluar dari kandang, dia segera lari sangat cepat dan dia berhasil melarikan diri.
Pada saat yang sama, penyihir jahat, memanggil semua pasukannya dengan dia, berlari mengejar dia dan dia mengeluarkan tongkat sihirnya. Iblis jahat mengubah boneka kayu kecil menjadi kue cokelat!
Ketika ia kembali ke rumah, dia mengatakan seluruh cerita kepada ayahnya dan mereka pergi untuk menemukan peri dewa.
Setelah perjalanan panjang, mereka akhirnya menemukan peri dewa dan mereka punya ramuan ajaib untuk Pinokio.

                 Short Story about "TIME"

A hundred years ago, there lived a girl with her old brother and old sister in Jrubong Village. They treated by a tree which life like a human. However, it can’t walking like us. The tree’s name is Mrs. Liverone. Liverone had a hole in its trunk for a shelter and took care of the children from danger.
Inas, Isna, and Riza abandoned by their parents since they were baby then treated by Mrs. Liverone. They grow healthy, smart, beautiful, and handsome. In 1915 only men who were allowed to go to school. The woman just stayed at home, cooked for their family, and took care their children. So were Inas and Isna. They just stayed and waiting for Riza to brought some books from his university’s library.
One day at 7 a.m. Riza was prepared to go to Mexico to research something. Isna would cook tomatoes soup before Riza’s disappearance and order Inas to picking some tomatoes in the garden. Inas was enthusiastically greet, “Good morning Mrs. Liverone!” Inas said.
“Good morning, dear!” answered Mrs. Liverone. Suddenly, Inas stumble a long roots and fall over the bushes. She blamed the roots which make her fall. Surprisingly, it was not a root, it was like a damaged cable. Then, she followed the cable’s origin. It seemed has a connection with Mrs. Liverone. Because when she cut down the cable, Mrs. Liverone become pass out.
Inas called Isna and Riza to come out. They shocked about what happened. “We must help Liverone! or it will be die!” Inas said.
“Stt… calm down, the colonist will know that we are not protected anymore. They will take us to be their slave.” Isna said slowly. Riza dig a hole in the origin of the cable. Suddenly, the colonist came in hurry. Fortunately, they saw a wooden door in the hole. They opened the door and went into the hole.
The hole was located under the liverone tree and it was very dark. Their move automatically makes the whole room filled with light. “What the hell is this!?” Inas said.
“Is it a television, radio, or…. maybe time machine? But, why it’s so many?”
“Unbelievable!” Isna said with gaping. “This is the center of Liverone’s life.” Riza clarify.
Alright, Liverone is a machine. It is controlled by someone who loves them very much which leave their son and daughters with this tree machine to protect them. They knew that their parents were still alive.
So much glare after they opened the door. “Is it morning? I feel, we’re just getting into the basement 4 hours ago.” Inas said. The morning looks different. Everything is changes. They are not come out from basement. They wake up from a long sleep in the hospital. And they looks 5 years younger than before. “Hi, kids. I’m Mrs. Liverone. Your new psychiatrist and your new nanny. Let’s go home. Let’s start a new live.”
“what year is it?”
“2015.”
